You know I didn&#039;t even think about that! They are still adding plastic to land fills with the filters, hopefully less than there would be if everyone was drinking out of plastic water bottles.</description>

		<description>It&#039;s great to give up bottled water and opt for filtered tap water.  But have you ever wondered what happens to all those used plastic Brita filter cartridges?

In Europe, there is a take-back recycling program.  Brita collects used filters and recycles them in its own facility.  But in the U.S., Brita is owned by Clorox and has not developed such a system.

Please join us in asking Clorox to take back its used filters.  You can sign the petition and learn more about the campaign here:
