I saw a news story on CNN this morning about a plus size girl who is breaking beauty stereotypes by competing in the Miss England beauty competition. Chloe Marshall, who is 5′10″ and weighs 176 lbs is scheduled to compete in the finals of the pageant. She says she wants to change the pageant image for the better. She is a very confident girl and I really hope that she wins!
BTW, she is only 3.5 lbs overweight according to her BMI. So all you haters out there, read before you start mouthing off!
There was a comment made by a poster on another blog, that I couldn’t agree more with!
“A real woman is one who is confident enough to accept her own form of beauty. All too long, we full figured women have allowed others to define what beauty is and isn’t…You see a womans size does not make her a real or fake person, it’s the way she carries herself.”
Mika can’t of said it better!

“BTW, she is only 3.5 lbs overweight according to her BMI.”
That just goes to show how meaningless the BMI really is. According to the BMI I’m overweight even though I’m 6′ tall, 190 lbs and in excellent shape. She’s chubby regardless of what her BMI says.
The Chloe Marshall phenomenon is wonderful in that it is causing people to redefine the meaning of word beauty and to include real women not just stick insects.
I think its wonderful that a full figured woman is out there trying to change the world for the better. “She’s chubby regardless or what her BMI says.” Its people like that that have 11 year old girls at home sticking their fingers down their throats.
Chloe Marshal is a beautiful woman inside and out.
